      Questions

What does the D number on fingerboard wheels mean?

It's hardness on the Shore D scale. Lower numbers are softer and grip more, higher numbers are harder, faster and slide more. Our softest Apex urethane, 61D, rides like a 101A skateboard wheel.

Which fingerboard wheels should a beginner start with?

61D or 71D Apex urethane in the New Street shape. 61D grips like a real skateboard wheel and rides quiet. 71D is the all-rounder in the middle of the range. Harder wheels trade grip for speed and slide.

Will Teak wheels fit my fingerboard trucks?

Yes. Apex wheels fit all common fingerboard trucks, including Blackriver, Y-Trucks, Dynamic and Tech Deck, in widths from 29mm to 36mm.

      What are ATP fingerboard wheels?

ATP is All Terrain Polymer, our 65D wheel compound. It has a slick, low-friction feel, collects less dirt and rides smooth or rough surfaces, indoors or out. ATP wheels are cast and cut in New York.

How are CNC wheels different from Apex wheels?

CNC wheels are hard 100D polyurethane on a single metal bearing: fast, slidey and economical. Apex wheels are softer urethane in a range of shapes and durometers.

What comes in a set of Apex wheels?

Four wheels with bearings already pressed in, a capped storage tube and a Teak sticker. Deck and trucks aren't included.

Why don't my wheels match the product photo exactly?

Swirl and marble colorways are hand mixed and poured, so every set lands a little different from the photo and from every other set. No one else has your set.

How fast do Teak Tuning orders ship?

Orders ship the next business day, and US orders over $50 ship free. We ship internationally too, with standard (10 to 20 business days) and, to many countries, expedited (5 to 10 business days) options at checkout. Shipping details.

What does the Teak Guarantee cover?

For 90 days after delivery, if anything arrives defective, damaged, or not as described, we replace it, refund it or credit you in full, and we cover the return shipping. Changed your mind instead? You have 30 days to send it back for any reason. See the full guarantee.
