What kinds of fingerboard grip tape are there?

Foam tape is soft and lightly grippy, the classic fingerboard feel. Pro Duro grip is a cast silicone polymer at 0.7mm with the most grip. Gecko grip has a urethane texture and 3M adhesive. Micro engraved tape is our 1mm foam with a debossed pattern.

How big is a sheet of fingerboard tape?

The original PROlific foam sheet is 35mm x 110mm and 1mm thick, and Easy Peel is 38mm wide. Pro Duro and Gecko sheets are 35mm x 110mm.

How do I put grip tape on a fingerboard?

Peel the backing, line the sheet up over the deck and press it down firmly from the middle out. Then file along the deck edge with a filing board to trim the overhang clean.

Which grip tape thickness should I choose?

PROlific foam runs from 0.5mm Ultrathin to the 2mm Shag Edition, with 1mm as the original. Thinner tape puts you closer to the deck, thicker foam adds cushion under your fingers.
