What Wheels Size and Shape Is Best For Me?

Fingerboard wheels coming in many shapes and sizes, and the amount of options can definitely seem overwhelming. At Teak Tuning, our Apex Wheels are made in New York and come in a few different shapes and sizes.

Mini Fingerboard Wheels

  • Apex wheel shape: Shorty Shape
  • Smaller than standard fingerboard wheels
  • Great for riders who want less surface area or a smaller wheel
  • Minimized wheel bite and lowers the overall setup height

Standard Size Fingerboard Wheels

  • Apex wheel shapes: New Street, Slim Bowl
  • These wheels fit into the "normal" range for fingerboard wheels
  • Perfect for any rider or setup
  • Great size to start out with as a beginner fingerboarder

Large Size Fingerboard Wheels

  • Apex wheel shapes: Cruiser, Globe
  • Often referred to as "cruiser wheels" because they are frequently used on cruisers
  • Larger wheels with an increased diameter and width
  • Ideal for cruiser and bowl fingerboards
  • Riser pads may be needed to minimize wheel bite
